Wichita (aka Ouchita) mountains, SE Oklahoma and western Arkansas. we've been a bunch of times, it's a lot of fun. Especially the winding stair between Talihena and Mena

Talimena Drive is very very pretty in the fall I know. I think it'd be a pretty cool little cruise. It's a ways drive, but there's lots to see and lots of little places to camp/stay if you wanted to.

under "Things to Do" I didn't see an entry for ripping it at 100+ mph at night, behind a white GD-A Tarmac Emulating model.... this site is blasphemy!

How twisty are the roads? Sounds like fun. Makes me think about some of the roads where I used to live in Montana. There was NO SPEED LIMIT when I lived there in 1999. It was "safe and prudent" speeds. So everybody drove 80-90 on the back roads, it was awesome! Didn't have a subie then though......And they have long since gone back to speed limits. Interestingly enough, Montana's fatality rate reached its lowest when there was no speed law, from January to May 1999. Fatalities doubled after a speed limit was enforced!!

I use to go to Talimena drive when I had my bike. The roads r pretty fun just haveto becareful of the slow Harley riders.

I was actually about to start my own thread about this, the date I've been kicking around in my head is the weekend of the 27-28th.
